BDEAC allocates 155 billion FCFA to Chad, Congo, Cameroon and Gabon

The Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC) approved at its July 10 Board of Directors the disbursement of 155 billion for the benefit of Chad, Cameroon, Congo and Gabon. The envelope will finance 13 projects in the health, water, agro-industry, transport and finance sectors in these countries.

Cameroon, Chad, Congo and Gabon have just received considerable financial support from the Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC), for the realization of development projects in five strategic sectors.

On July 10, the sub-regional bank validated a disbursement of 155 billion CFA francs for the benefit of these 4 states. The disbursement validated during the Board of Directors meeting on July 10, by videoconference, will make it possible to finance “13 major projects initiated by the countries concerned in the sectors of health, water and sanitation, agro-industry, transport and finance, ” the bank said in a statement.

Created on December 3, 1975, the BDEAC is an international financial institution responsible for financing the development of the member countries of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa. This sub-region includes six countries: Cameroon, the Congo, the Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Chad and Gabon.
