The Minister for the Budget, Ludovic Ngatsé, visited on January 12 the works of the “tax hotels” under construction, in particular in the districts of 1 Makélékélé, 6 Talangaï and 7 Mfilou.

At the three different sites visited, work began at the beginning of January. The BRCC, BCC and GTA technicians who are hard at work say they will complete the work next May. Erected on one level in Mfilou and on two in Makélékélé and Talangaï, these modern structures which will house all the tax services and then a bank aim to facilitate the processing of information and the collection of taxes.

“In his speech to the Nation, delivered last December, the Gabonese head of state ordered that the pace of modernization of the tax services be accelerated. It is a question of setting up in all the main tax centres of the points of the collection which are made by the means of the bank “, the Minister for the Budget indicated.

And to specify: “We will put in each site a banking service so that, from now on, the taxpayers pay their taxes directly to the bank. So there will be the Treasury, the tax base services as well as for the registrations of estates and stamps. ” Remember that the Ministry of Finance undertook work in the IT field three years ago with the implementation of software such as e.taxe and Sigfip.

“These platforms can only be in full use if we have centers where the tax services operate normally,” noted Ludovic Ngatsé. Besides Brazzaville, these modern structures called “tax hotels” are also under construction in Ouesso, Pointe-Noire and Oyo.
