The official launching ceremony of the Help-desk called Liziba (the source) and of the Congo Mediation and Arbitration Center (Cemaco), Pointe-Noire branch, two parts of component 2 of the Trade Capacity Building Program and entrepreneurial 2 (PRCCE II), will take place on October 22.
Component 2 of the program funded by the European Union (EU) and focused on improving the business climate is supported by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Trades (CCIAM) of Pointe-Noire. It consists of three components, namely the operationalization of Cemaco (alternative method of settling trade disputes), whose activities started last August; awareness raising on Hoada regulations; the deployment of a Helpdesk, a dynamic platform that makes economic, commercial and regulatory information available online.
This platform, called Liziba, is also a help desk that offers back office support located in the compound. The said office was also visited on July 13 by the EU Ambassador to the Congo, Raul Mateus Paula, who came to inquire about the progress of the project in Pointe-Noire, an evolution he considered satisfactory after his interview with Sylvestre Didier Mavouenzela, president of the CCIAM.
The Liziba Helpdesk was set up to simplify access to economic information, said Jean Michel Mavoungou, head of the Helpdesk. “In Congo, economic information exists but it is a dead end. Before the economic operator had to go around the administrations to get it. We wanted to centralize this information so that the operator, wherever he may be, can access it, “he said.
The Liziba Helpdesk is dedicated to any economic actor (economic operator, project leaders, administration). It will allow them to have access to useful information in order to make good decisions. Jean Michel Mavoungou said that it will also be put in a mobile version so that economic operators can access information from their mobile phones by connecting to the site www.liziba.cgn.
