The Gabonese sky has just been enriched with a new airline. Named Nationale Airways Gabon (NAG), the structure received, on May 18, from the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the Operating License and the Air Carrier Certificate (CTA). For its launch, the NAG will serve Port-Gentil, Franceville and Oyem using two Embraer 120 (Emb 120) aircraft with a capacity of 30 seats each.

The Gabonese air transport sector has just been enriched with a new company. Named National Airways Gabon (NAG), the new structure obtained its Operating License and its Air Carrier Certificate (CTA).

Officially handed over on May 18 by the Director General of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), Arthur Nkoumou Delaunay, the two documents will allow the NAG to conduct commercial activities in the Gabonese sky like many others Airlines companies.

Based in Libreville, Nationale Airways Gabon will begin its commercial activity with two aircraft of type Embraer 120 (Emb 120) with a capacity of 30 seats each. For this launch phase, the company will serve the cities of Port-Gentil, Franceville and Oyem. The new operator joins Afrijet and Solenta Aviation Gabon, two companies that have been operating the sector for almost two years with regular flights.

If he welcomed the arrival of a new airline in Gabon, the Director General of the ANAC did not fail to invite the officials of the NAG “to professionalism and respect for Gabonese legislation in force”. Arthur Nkoumou also urged them to “register their planes as quickly as possible in the Gabonese register within the time allowed”.

A precious document in the exercise of air transport, the Air Carrier Certificate is established at the end of a certification process comprising five phases passing through the pre-application, the official presentation of the request, the evaluation of the documents, demonstration and inspection, and the issue of the Certificate, which is valid for two years.
