Finance and Budget Minister Calixte Nganongo launched the new payment system via the e-tax application on July 1, 2020 in Brazzaville. This tool aims to improve and secure the management of tax revenue from the Directorate General of Taxes and Domains DGID
E-tax is the new application that will manage taxes within the DGID It will be deployed throughout the tax administration and throughout the national territory. It will take into account all the taxes and all the taxes for which the DGID has the management competence, we learned.
This major project to modernize the tax system will make it possible to digitize and computerize all of the tax services so that checks and declarations are most easily carried out. The basis of this project is the interconnection of all of the financial management services.
For the Minister Delegate for Finance and Budget, Mr. Ludovic Ngatsé, E-tax will take into account all areas of taxation, namely the assessment, collection, control and litigation, recovery of VAT credits, l certification, decision-making functionalities and personnel management.
“At the end of the project, we want to have all the information on all the control rooms, namely the interconnection within the control rooms of the DGID. So we need to interconnect all of the country’s financial administrations, in order to have control over all taxpayers registered at the tax administration level, “he added.
The Director of Taxes, Mr. Ludovic Itoua, invited the agents and executives of his structure as well as all the other users to master this solution and to make their contribution, in order to place the Congolese tax administration among the best classified in the global plan for good governance.
The Director of Taxation of large companies, project manager Utilisation ’Usage’ ’, Mr. Lambert Ifoko, gave an overall presentation of the project. He highlighted its advantages, its objectives, its functionalities and its use.
The launch of this new management platform for e-tax tax professions opens a new era in the management of taxes in the country, he said.
