Cameroon Government recieves Mintom-Lele portion of Yaounde-Brazzaville road

On the Yaoundé-Brazzaville Corridor, the Ministry of Public Works (MINTP) received on January 26, 2021, the Mintom-Lele lot of 67.5 km long. According to the national bilingual daily Cameroon Tribune on newsstands on January 29, 2021, “the Ministry of Public Works has validated the works of the Mintom-Lele section of this axis”. The works were provisionally accepted by the General Director of infrastructure works, Benoît Parfait Mbole Mbole.

“In addition to the road, parking areas, crossing structures including a bridge built on the Lele river to replace a bridge where savings of over one billion FCFA have been achieved. . There were also related developments. Including classrooms, a social center and a bus station ”.

During the working meeting that closed this field trip, the client appreciated the quality of the work carried out, while praising the performance of the company and of the control mission. “We are satisfied with the quality of the work. The prescriptions that were made were generally carried out. We have a well-made road, which has respected the specifications prescribed for the company. We have great hope that in the not too distant future, the Yaoundé-Brazzaville corridor will be completely built,.”

The control mission has also approved the quality of the road project. On the other hand, some adjustments will have to be made within the framework of the signage and the stabilization of embankments developed by embankments or cuttings.

The Sangmelima-Ouesso corridor is 575 km long. It is made up of several lots on the Cameroon side (more than 300 km), including: Sangmelima-Bikoula, Bikoula-Djoum, Djoum-Mintom, Mintom-Lele, Lele-Ntam and Ntam-Mbalam ramp. “These are all completed except the Sangmelima-Bikoula and Bikoula-Djoum lots, in progress.”
