Africa Golden Bank (AGB), the 19th Commercial bank on the Cameroonian market, is displaying its ambitions. Three months after launching its activities, the institution is committed to offering services adapted to the varied needs of its customers. With this in mind, it has signed a partnership with the Groupement Interbancaire Monétique de l’Afrique Centrale ( GIMAC ).
According to AGB, this collaboration will allow it to develop new products that will enrich its offer. “This strategic cooperation aims to integrate advanced technological solutions, thus facilitating access to banking services for a greater number of people,” we learn from the bank’s website.
New products under development, the bank lists, include “electronic payment solutions, instant money transfer services and locally tailored credit options .” These innovations aim to meet consumers’ growing expectations for flexibility and security.
Let us recall that Africa Golden Bank started its activities in July 2024, 16 months after obtaining the favorable opinion of the Central African Banking Commission ( COBAC ), the banking sector policeman in CEMAC . Controlled by Cameroonian billionaire Samuel Foyou, this commercial bank is the 19th banking establishment operating in Cameroon. Its promoter is also cited among the potential buyers of the State’s shares in Commercial Bank Cameroon ( CBC ).
