Gabonese leader meets Chinese investor to tackle Electricity crisis

Taking advantage of his stay in China, the President of the Transition went to the city of Nanjing where he visited NARI group corporation, one of the Chinese leaders in the transformation and distribution of electrical energy. While Gabon is accumulating a deficit in this area, NARI could offer innovative and intelligent solutions. A team from the Chinese group should soon arrive in Libreville.

On September 7 in China, the President of the Transition went to Nanjing where he visited the NARI group corporation. While Gabon is facing an energy crisis marked by untimely power cuts that have become recurrent in Greater Libreville, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema is looking for solutions to deal with the deficit in this area. With the Chinese leader in the field of transformation and distribution of electrical energy, he intends to find, so to speak, a win-win situation. If with enthusiasm he toured this company, without roundness he shared the country’s electricity needs estimated at a little over 600 kWh, hoping to have emergency solutions.

” We are facing a particular difficulty in Greater Libreville with all the power cuts that we are experiencing and the Head of State took advantage of this visit to China to visit this large group that offers a number of solutions ,” declared, at the end of the visit, the Minister of Energy who accompanied the President of the Transition. ” We have just made the visit, the technical teams will come back to take stock and look for urgent solutions to implement so that we can overcome the difficulties that we are experiencing today ,” added Jeannot Kalima. With 50 years of experience, NARI has developed smart stations for energy development.

The company, which has provided reliable energy to just over two billion users, aims to work harder to ” create a better future ” by offering a new type of electricity system. The group has major projects in different countries including Gabon where it intends to provide a ” computer monitoring system ” as part of the construction of the largest hydropower plant with a capacity of 160 MW, and a substation automation system as part of the Belt and Road demonstration project or ‘New Silk Road’. NARI has focused on information technology to develop a series of internationally advanced products, ” making the hydropower industry smarter and more beautiful “.

The company has established itself as the largest and most comprehensive player in the hydroelectric automation industry in China with a market share exceeding 50%. It has already offered its solutions to more than 40 countries and continues to explore the latest technologies and ensure better positioning of green energy. To better consider the emergency solutions to be implemented in Gabon, the President of the Transition invited a delegation from the Chinese group to Gabon this September 2024.
