The World Bank’s Spring 2021 meetings and related activities will be held in virtual mode from April 5 to 11. Civil society organizations will discuss the hot topics of debt and economic recovery after the health crisis.
Discussions between World Bank experts and civil society organizations will focus on the general theme of resilience to the Covid-19 crisis: “Helping countries build a green and resilient recovery.”
Meanwhile, joint meetings of the Development Committee of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as well as the IMF’s International Monetary and Financial Committee, will also be held to discuss the progress made by the institutions.
This event is a major opportunity for civil society organizations not only to express themselves, but above all to present their proposals live on themes related to the health crisis, debt, economic recovery, vaccines and the climate.
Other events featured include regional briefings, press conferences and development-focused forums.
