Transit rights on the Chad-Cameroon pipeline generated more than 36 billion FCFA for Cameroon in 2019

The National hydrocarbon company recently released the figures for profits made by Cameroon in the context of transit rights on the Chad-Cameroon pipeline in 2019. According to SNH, the country of Paul Biya has collected the sum of 36 .5 billion FCFA.

“This upward growth is linked to the application of the provisions of second amendment  of the establishment agreement of the Cameroon Oil Transporttion Company (COTCO), operator of the Chad-Cameroon pipeline. According to this endorsement, the duty rate was updated on September 30, 2018, from US $ 1.30 per barrel, ” SNH said.

For the record, over the past year, several oil companies, including the China Petroleum corporation International Chad, Cliveden, Royalty In Kind, Société des hydrocarbures du Tchad, Exxon Mobil, Petronas, Petro Chad Mangara, Glencore, and Petroleum Chad Company Limited, carried out 50 removals of a quantity of 47.26 million barrels at the Komé-Kribi terminal.
