For its 8th edition, the Yaoundé International Business, SME and Partnership Fair (Promote) will take place in virtual format due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Next year, the 8th edition of Promote will run from April 24 to May 2.
The foot of the Yaoundé Convention Center is the site chosen for Event. According to the organizing committee of this economic high mass in Central Africa, the theme of honor is: “The industrialization of Africa, a key to the emergence of the continent”. As it is worded, this theme is part of the post-Covid-19 strategic news. It is precisely this context that, in 2021, will affect the design of Promote. For the first time, the Show will take place in digital form. In short, he will emancipate himself from his physical form.
To support this transformation, a series of measures have been implemented by the organizing committee. For the first time, Promote will include a large federating conference designated under the label “the Forum of Yaoundé”. It will last 4 days.
Driven by a discourse built around a new organizational form, the Minister of Commerce (mandate of the Government) and the international foundation Inter-Progress (agent in charge of the technical organization and animation of the event) rely on face-to-face business stands on the flanks of the Palais des Congrès, but with company profiles of participants widely distributed digitally (website), with different forms of personalized and spontaneous meetings in the dynamics of a large trade fair.
Organized by the international foundation Inter-Progress, Promote is a triennial event which aims to boost business in all sectors of the economy of Central Africa, with the Cameroonian economy as a sample. It is a strong manifestation of the Cameroonian government, open to the international, for the promotion of economic enterprises placed under the high patronage of the President of the Republic since its creation in 2002.
Overall, it is an active networking platform, an exceptional source of contacts and information which, through its thematic exhibition spaces, professional meetings, conferences and debates, economic and cultural events, makes it possible to undertake and boost business, make its know-how better known and strengthen the image and notoriety of its structure.
