In 2019, Orange Cameroon provided the best performance of mobile internet in Cameroon. This is evident from the annual report by the global observer of the assessment of mobile networks and the NPERF customer experience in a report released last March. To gather all these results, the observer, thanks to an application, relied on the results of tests carried out with users who evaluated operators in real time on download speed, web browsing, etc.
The study took place between January 1 and December 31, 2019. After compilation of the results, it emerged that Orange Cameroon comes No. 1 on several indicators such as the 4G connection rate, the success rate, the speeds and the latency.
Regarding the connection rate, studies carried out by the observer show that of the 2,115 tests carried out, Orange Cameroon is credited with 83.05% as having provided the best connection rate. In terms of downlink speeds (amount of data that your connection can receive in one second) and amounts (amount of data that your connection can send in one second), the operator also occupies the top ranks, respectively 13.79Mb / s and 7.78Mb / s. Orange Cameroon is thus ahead of its main rival MTN Cameroon which ranks second with 10.15Mb / s and 6.13Mb / s followed by Nextell whose respective bit rates are located at 4.85Mb / s and 1.00Mb / s.
If Orange Cameroon records the best results, it is still bypassed on certain indicators by the South African telecoms giant, MTN, which is credited as the operator who provided the best performance in web browsing and video streaming in 2019 to Cameroonians. Nextell is third in all respects.
The total of the tests gives Orange Cameroon the best provider of Mobile Internet in Cameroon in 2019 with 44,201 points. MTN came second with 33,751 points and Nextell finished the ranking with 12,534 points.
