Louis Paul Motaze, Minister of Finance , is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of Central African States ( BDEAC), at the same time Chairman of the General Assembly of the said institution. He replaces in this position, the Chadian Tahir Hamid Ngulin, Minister of State, Minister of Finance, Budget, Economy and Planning.
After his appointment, the Finance Minister chaired an extraordinary session of the General Assembly of the BDEAC. It should be recalled that the Board of Directors of the Bank is chaired on a rotating basis and for one calendar year by the Chairman of the General Assembly.

Current Minister of Finance of the State of Cameroon , Louis Paul Motaze is a Civil Administrator, Economics and Finance section, graduated from the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in 1983. The same year, he began his career at the Economic Affairs Division of the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, before dropping off his bags a year later at CAMSHIP (Cameroon Shipping Lines), where he stayed until 1989. Between 1989 and 1999, he stayed at CAMAIR (Cameroon Airlines).
Louis Paul Motaze also holds a postgraduate diploma (DEA) in public law and a DESS (specialized postgraduate diploma) in international transport. In 1999, he took over the reins of the National Social Security Fund ( CNPS ). With this wealth of experience, he was appointed Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) in 2007.
4 years later, he will occupy the post of Secretary General of the Prime Minister’s services , before being brought back to MINEPAT in 2015. Since March 2, 2018, Louis Paul Motaze has been Minister of Finance.
