After a balanced mandate the president of the think tank “Economic Convergence”, Amir Adoudou Artine outgoing president of the CCIAMA intends to run for a second mandate. With a view to correcting the shortcomings of the past, the elected consular officers gathered around the outgoing president exchanged at their headquarters in the Place de la Nation, with the Minister of the Economy, development planning and international cooperation Dr Issa Doubragne.

Other similar meetings with sector ministers are planned by the outgoing candidate and his team to give each of the CCIAMA components its nobility by identifying the main problems with a view to providing appropriate responses.

The Minister of the Economy and the economic operators representing the various sectors of the CCIAMA addressed bluntly all the evils that undermine the development of the Chadian private sector. From the business climate to foreign investments, through the difficulties of economic diversification, the fallout from the National Development Plan (PND-2017-2021), all the issues that handicap the national economy have been on the table.

The head of the economy department while ensuring the availability of the government to support the Chadian private sector, calls on economic operators to be more creative. For Dr Issa Doubragne, Chadian businessmen must produce and transform locally if “the public power and the private sector want to breathe new life into our economy”.

The outgoing president of CCIAMA, basing himself on the experiences of his previous mandate, promises to make the diversification of the Chadian economy his hobbyhorse in the next mandate
