The New Interafrican Insurance Company of Gabon (NSIA Gabon) has just detected an insurance scam, through a fraudulent document promising commitments on promises of compensation in the event of loss of employment, illness, death; etc. Discarding all responsibility, the company filed a lawsuit against X.
Fraud spares no sector of activity and the New Inter-African Insurance Company of Gabon (NSIA Gabon) has just experienced it bitterly. Thanks to the vigilance of its customers and a rigorous internal control system, the insurance company has just detected insurance fraud.
“(…) The NSIA brand and logo are currently used by an individual not known to our companies, in a fraudulent document tending to promise commitments on behalf of the NSIA Gabon subsidiaries. These commitments relate to promises of compensation in the event of job loss, illness, death, etc. as a guarantee for alleged loans to victims and in return for improperly received premiums, “the company said.
Believing not to be involved in this scam, NSIA Gabon has discharged all responsibility. The insurance company has also protested against the fraudulent use of its brand, as well as the dissemination of false information about it. With a view to taking legal action on the matter, the insurance company has announced that it will file a lawsuit against X, while calling on its customers to be vigilant.
