Ecobank Cameroon unveils cutting edge Innovation for better customer experience

Since 2017, Ecobank Cameroon has been part of a vast digitalization campaign and continues to improve its digital offer. A Mobile Version 4.0 application created by the bank offers an ecosystem more robust and more intuitive to meet the growing needs and changing behavior of customers.

The Director-General of the bank Gwendoline Abunaw says that, this version of the Mobile application brings the following changes:

Transfer from account to account through telephone numbers and email addresses of beneficiary customers “no more frustrations related to forgetting the account number”.

The creation of a virtual card in real-time, to mitigate the risks linked to the exposure of the coordinates of our main cards online. This is useful both for individual use and to offer those close to you a means of payment.

The possibility of sharing the means of payment of an invoice electronically with the option of sharing invoices (“split payment”).

The “request funds” function for calls for funds from relatives.

Provision of prepaid cards online.

Finally, the possibility of sharing your customer experience online or inviting new users by electronic recommendation. The purpose of these new features is to broaden our strategic scope, promote financial inclusion by facilitating access to financial services and offer flexibility and better quality of services.

Abunaw further explains that “the migration of our banking system brings more flexibility in the management of all our customers. For our Business and SME customers, we have updated OmniPlus and developed Ecobank OmniLite, a payment platform accessible online and on the mobile phone.
