Congo Agency for the Promotion of Investments (Api) is ready to help project leaders and young Congolese startups to better structure their projects to make them wobbly.
The general director of the API, Annick Patricia Mongo, launched this invitation on February 9 in Brazzaville, during the first edition of a series of economic meetings in which the project leaders and startups working in the agricultural sector took part. , agri-food, renewable energy and waste management.

“The Api has a portfolio of Congolese entrepreneurs looking for technical or financial partners. We want to create within this portfolio a category of young project leaders and startups. This is why we organized this meeting ”, explained the Director General of the API who took the opportunity to communicate on the missions and services of the agency as well as the opportunities it offers thanks to the collaboration established with the Federal Republic of Germany.
Participating in this forum, the German diplomat in Congo, Dr Wolfgang Klapper, stressed the importance of boosting cooperation between the Congo and his country. He also believes that collaboration with Api should help open up better prospects in terms of trade and partnership between investors from the two countries.
Note that Germany finances each year in Congo between eight and ten small projects, to the tune of six million FCFA. She is currently building a digital platform to encourage young Congolese entrepreneurs, the ambassador said.
Satisfied with having taken part in this first meeting, Gaël Kemoko Matondo, promoter of the “papaya project”, hopes to benefit soon from either financial or technical support to buy work equipment and then promote his product.
With the help of the next economic meetings planned within the framework of the partnership between Api and Germany, the two parties intend to breathe new life into the promotion of reciprocal investment.
Founded in 2012, the API’s main mission is to: implement government investment policy through activities to promote and facilitate private investments; contribute to improving the business environment; design and promote a brand image likely to attract potential investors to Congo.
