Chad outlines 9 strategic axes for 2030 ICT revolution

Chad is preparing to validate a ten-year strategic plan in the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) sector. A workshop to this effect will take place from July 15 to 16 at the Radisson Blu hotel in N’Djamena. Strategic axes with specific objectives are developed to restore the digital landscape of the country.

The ten-year strategy aims to integrate Chad into the African and global concert of economic, technological and development competitions. The Strategic Plan for the Development of Digital and Posts in Chad 2020-2030 is ambitious. It derives its legitimacy from its methodology which, from an inventory shared by its stakeholders, involved the technical and / or financial partners.

From a strategic vision, the project sets six 06 global objectives, the achievement of which is based on 07 strategic objectives leading to define nine 09 strategic axes. These include thirty 30 programs totaling 79 projects from which 277 sub-projects arise.

The fourth axis is based on human capital. It aims to develop this capital and promote scientific research. Digital content and applications constitute the fifth axis with the aim of promoting the supply of national and African content. The sixth axis aims to promote digital trust and is based on cybersecurity and security.

The legal and institutional framework is the seventh axis. Eighth is the growth and digital transformation of the administration through E-Governance. Digital access and inclusion is the ninth pillar to democratize access to digital goods and services.

For the success of the Strategic Plan, a strong mobilization of resources is necessary. The State must obtain a commitment from the financial partners to invest in the various projects and sub-projects defined so that Chad can hope, by 2030, to be a veritable crossroads of ICT in Africa.
