Through a week of events from September 7 to 13, 2024, CCA-Bank is highlighting bancassurance in the cities of Douala and Yaoundé. This initiative aims to raise awareness among populations about bancassurance products, in particular the CCA Santé and C-Sécur solutions, while strengthening the bank’s performance after a year 2023 marked by strong growth.
CCA-Bank, a bank renowned for its roots in African traditions, is mobilizing to promote bancassurance in Douala and Yaoundé. From September 7 to 13, 2024, the institution organized a series of activities as part of a week dedicated to raising awareness among customers and the general public about the benefits of this innovative combination of banking and insurance services. Through in-branch and off-branch events, the bank highlighted its flagship products, CCA Santé and C-Sécur, which offer comprehensive financial solutions tailored to the needs of subscribers.
During this campaign, several events were planned, such as question-and-answer games allowing customers to win prizes and prospecting sessions to attract new members. One of the highlights was the caravan that crisscrossed the cities of Douala and Yaoundé. After starting on September 9 with the CCA-Bank branches of Ndokotti in Douala and Etoudi in Yaoundé, the caravan continued its journey in the branches of Messa, Mboppi, the heavy axis (Douala) and Tsinga (Yaoundé) the following days. On September 13, the branches of Bépanda in Douala and Biyem-Assi in Yaoundé will also host this initiative.
For CCA-Bank, this operation is an opportunity to popularize its bancassurance offers, in particular CCA Santé and C-Sécur. These solutions allow, among other things, subscribers to benefit from coverage of up to 80% on consultations, medications and hospital care. “Bancassurance is the perfect alliance between banking and insurance, giving us the opportunity to offer tailor-made financial solutions to our customers. From September 9 to 13, we invite you to our branches to discover our offers and try to win many prizes,” said a representative of the bank.
The ultimate objective of this initiative is to consolidate the bank’s performance after a year 2023 where, despite a difficult economic environment, it recorded remarkable growth. According to CCA-Bank’s annual report, the balance sheet total for 2023 amounted to 647.03 billion CFA francs, an increase of 27.1% compared to 2022. In addition, outstanding customer credit increased by 24.8%, reaching 286.03 billion CFA francs, while deposits increased by 26.03%, reaching 518.5 billion CFA francs.
In addition, 43,679 new accounts were opened over the past year, marking an increase of 20.1% compared to 2022. CCA-Bank also recorded an 18% increase in its net banking income, reaching 38.5 billion CFA francs, with a gross result of 14.1 billion CFA francs. With a network of 63 automatic teller machines (ATMs), the bank has been able to rely on its human resources, its controlled management processes and its modern infrastructure to maintain its dynamism, as highlighted by Marguerite Fonkwen Atanga, the institution’s general manager.
This week of promoting bancassurance reflects CCA-Bank’s desire to continue to innovate and offer services adapted to the needs of customers, while contributing to the growth of the banking and insurance sector in Cameroon.
