On the occasion of the 59th edition of the Youth Festival, Marguerite Fonkwen Atanga, Managing Director of CCA-Bank, reaffirmed the banking institution’s commitment to youth entrepreneurship. Through the “CCA Starter” program, the bank supports students and young entrepreneurs by providing them with the tools and financing necessary to realize their projects.
During the Youth Day celebration, Marguerite Fonkwen Atanga sent a message of hope to young Cameroonians. The Managing Director of CCA-Bank stressed the importance of equipping “creative and ambitious” young people with tailored solutions to transform their ideas into successful businesses. “Empowering young people and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit is not only a strategic priority, but a commitment to a better future,” she said.

CCA-Bank is thus positioning itself as a key player in supporting entrepreneurship by providing young people with a dedicated program, “CCA Starter”, designed to offer them personalized support and easier access to financing. Faced with the financial and structural challenges encountered by young entrepreneurs, CCA-Bank has developed “CCA Starter”, an innovative program that aims to support students and project leaders through adapted solutions.
This program includes several benefits: A dedicated bank account with reduced fees and advantageous banking services. Personalized support, including mentoring and training to help young people structure and develop their businesses. Easy access to financing, via credits adapted to the needs of start-ups and young companies. For Marguerite Fonkwen Atanga, this initiative reflects the bank’s desire to “cultivate a dynamic ecosystem where ambition meets opportunity.”
Beyond its commitment to youth, CCA-Bank continues to strengthen its position in the Cameroonian banking landscape. According to data from the Central African Banking Commission (Cobac) and the National Economic and Financial Committee (Cnef), the institution recorded remarkable growth in 2023. Outstanding customer loans increased by 24.8%, amounting to 286.03 billion CFA francs. An increase of 27.1% in the total balance sheet, which stands at 647.03 billion CFA francs. Net banking income increased by 18%, reaching 38.5 billion CFA francs.
With 43,679 new accounts opened in 2023, an increase of 20.1% compared to the previous year, the bank confirms its attractiveness and solidity in a highly competitive sector.
In her message, the Director General launched a vibrant appeal to young Cameroonians: “Don’t wait any longer, join us and bring your ambitions to life. For a willing heart, nothing is impossible.”
CCA-Bank, which currently ranks 6th in the Cameroonian banking market in terms of deposits and 8th in terms of loans, intends to continue its efforts to offer young people an environment conducive to entrepreneurial success.
Through initiatives such as “CCA Starter” and “CCA Student Banking”, the bank proves that the financial inclusion of young people is not just a slogan, but a reality under construction for a better future.
