Cameroon’s Ministry of SME’s reaches deal with private outing to guide youths with projects

Cameroon’s  Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts (MINPMEESA), Achille Bassilekin III has signed a partnership agreement with the Association des Journées de l’Entrepreneuriat Ethique au Cameroun (JEC), the July 29, 2020 in Yaoundé.

This association is the author of tailor-made training courses organized for young project leaders in Douala and Yaoundé. “A school of wealth creation has even been set up,” we learnt.

According to the Minister, the objectives of this contract are: to define the terms of the partnership between the parties, with a view to the design and implementation of entrepreneurial promotion activities. There is also a question of formalizing a framework for trade facilitation.

In the same vein, “there is support in the implementation of entrepreneurial caravans and ethical entrepreneurship days in the different regions and localities of the country; as well as the formulation of areas of partnership and the modalities of implementation of capacity building for promoters of SMEs, start-ups and craftsmen.”

On his part, the promoter of the association, Erika Lindou, satisfied, confides that: “For the past ten years, we have been confined to the cities of Yaoundé and Douala because of logistical constraints. From now on, we will be in all the regions and even in the areas declared economically stricken ”.

“A steering committee made up of agents from MINPMEESA and JEC will be set up and will make it possible to work jointly in order to find funding for the execution of certain projects”.
