The Minister of Finance proceeded this Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in the city of Ebolowa, South region, to the technical launch of the execution of the budget for the 2021 fiscal year. The budget year officially started in Cameroon on January 12 2021. The Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze, has indeed launched the execution of the 2021 state budget in Ebolowa, capital of the southern region.
The ceremony held on January 12, 2021, especially enabled the various actors to master the technical contours of this budget estimated at FCFA 4,865.2 billion. “I had the advantage of being assisted by my collaborators and their technical presentations were extremely edifying because they insisted not only on what the 2021 finance law says, the advantages and support it brings to operators economic, but also the conditions which are essential for a good execution of the budget ” the Ministry of Finance has declared.

The 2021 budget is being carried out in a context marked by the health crisis linked to Covid-19 but also the security crises in the Far North, North West and South-West regions. “Politically, it was to say that 2020 has been a disastrous year. Fortunately, with the measures that have been taken by the Head of State, there is the socio-political crisis that we are experiencing, in short, there is a kind of uncertainty and this uncertainty requires everyone to get down to work by optimal management of revenues, through a very rational and prudent execution of expenditure, ”Minister Motaze added who continues his working visit to the city of Ebolowa with a meeting this Wednesday, January 13, 2021, with the officials of the decentralized services of the Ministry Finances.
The member of the government ends his visit tomorrow January 14, 2021. Before leaving the southern region, Louis Paul Motaze will proceed to the inauguration of the finance hotel of the town of Ambam, in the Ntem Valley department.
