The Cameroon Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange (BSTP-CMR) wants to allay the concerns of SMEs / SMIs. In a letter sent to heads of these enterprises, the Director, Evariste Yameni, describes the situation caused by the Coronavirus as an accident which comes up when these companies and industries were, resolutely engaged in the implementation of their various action plans of the year 2020.
He pointed out that, Covid-19 has caused a lot of concern for small businesses and industries. “It has radically changed our lives with immeasurable consequences for national economic activity and more for the lives of SMEs. SMEs / SMIs have been suffering the full effects of this pandemic since then, with unfortunate consequences for their activities, ” the Director of the BSTP-CMR explained.
He underlines that it will be difficult to deal with the losses already recorded or on a probable date of a return to normal, but thinks that “the time is not yet for complete containment, but many projects, projects are at a standstill or may not start on the scheduled dates.”
Evariste Yameni has urged his partners to “arm themselves with courage, selflessness and a lot of resilience to meet the challenge of survival. We remain confident in the future, “he adds, not without trying to reassure:” efforts are being made in research to find an effective treatment against the disease or a vaccine to limit its spread as quickly as possible. Let those who have commitments, organize themselves to keep them. “
He recalls that to limit the consequences of Covid-19 on the economy, the President of the Republic prescribed several measures including “the urgent completion of the study aimed at evaluating the impact of covid-19 on the national economy, and the urgent determination of the accompanying measures to be implemented to support sectors of activity in difficulty, as well as the most fragile households ”.
Evariste Yameni indicates that the Cameroon Subcontracting and Partnership Exchange, while welcoming this initiative, immediately seized her supervisory ministry, and pleaded for taking into account, the concerns of subcontracting companies and their specificities in this study. “The BSTP-CMR shares your pain, your difficulties and all your anxieties.
