The BGFIBank Group held its Executive Convention and several strategic seminars in Douala from January 28 to 31, 2025. The objective: to mobilize teams, strengthen operational efficiency and prepare for the post-2025 period. A key event for the banking leader in the CEMAC zone.
Cameroon’s economic capital, Douala, hosted nearly 120 senior executives from the BGFIBank Group for a large-scale convention. Under the leadership of Chairman and CEO Henri-Claude Oyima, these meetings provided an opportunity to take stock of 2024, define the roadmap for 2025 and outline the main directions of the future 2026-2030 strategic plan. “The purpose of this convention is to launch the activities for 2025 and equip our senior executives with the tools needed to achieve our ambitions,” said Henri-Claude Oyima. A pivotal year, since 2025 marks the final phase of the “Dynamique 2025” corporate project, a program that has structured the Group’s growth in recent years.

One of the major axes of this agreement was the desire to strengthen the operational efficiency of the Group. For BGFIBank, this dynamic is based above all on better consideration of the customer. “Operational efficiency is first and foremost the customer,” insisted the Group’s CEO, emphasizing that all the actions undertaken aim to better support and serve customers while supporting the financing of local economies. The debates and seminars focused in particular on crucial themes such as performance optimization, risk management and the transformation of human capital, all strategic levers to ensure sustainable growth.
BGFIBank Cameroon distinguished itself at this convention as an inspiring model for the entire Group. Under the leadership of Abakal Mahamat, Managing Director, the Cameroonian subsidiary demonstrated its dynamism and efficiency. One of the strong symbols of this success is the recent inauguration of the “Sirius Building”, the new headquarters of BGFIBank Cameroon, on December 6, 2024. This building embodies the Group’s ambition to establish itself sustainably in its strategic markets and to offer a modern and efficient environment to its teams and customers. “We wanted all our employees to see what has been achieved in Cameroon, because it is an example to follow for the entire Group,” stressed Henri-Claude Oyima.
Present in 12 countries, the BGFIBank Group has established itself as a key banking player in the CEMAC zone. During this convention, several themes highlighted the issues and challenges to come: 2024 Review: Lessons and Perspectives; Strengthening Performance through Optimized Risk Management; Transforming Human Capital as a Driver of Growth and Commitment; By consolidating its achievements and focusing on innovation and performance, BGFIBank is approaching 2025 with renewed ambition.
With this strategic convention in Douala, BGFIBank has reaffirmed its vision and commitment to continue its transformation. The year 2025, as the last stage of the “Dynamique 2025” project, will be decisive in establishing its leadership and preparing the next strategic cycle 2026-2030. Thanks to an approach focused on efficiency and innovation, the Group intends not only to maintain its leading position, but also to pave the way for new growth prospects, serving its customers and the economic development of the countries where it operates.
