American Business express interest to invest in Cameroon

They are  interested in energy, health, multimodal transport, agriculture, social housing. It was received on November 11, 2020 by the Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute. A delegation of three American businessmen is prospecting in Cameroon. Led by Prof. Edwin Freeman Huffine, it is interested in business opportunities in Cameroon.

“We have enough information through our research on Cameroon, a beautiful country which has immense potential to be developed,” Edwin Freeman Huffine told reporters of CRTV, the public television.

According to our colleagues, American investors are interested in the fields of energy, health, multimodal transport, agriculture, social housing and all kinds of opportunities that can contribute to the industrial emergence of Cameroon. Nothing has been revealed in terms of investments but they would be ready to finance projects in case of profit-sharing, we learned.

At the moment, they are only at the prospecting stage. The Huffine International consortium, we learn, is one of the heavyweights of American investor groups with around 100 companies in six continents. He would eye Cameroon as the 94th country where he intends to invest.

According to the United States Embassy in Cameroon, the total amount of trade between the United States and Cameroon reached 366 million dollars (nearly 212.44 billion FCFA) in 2018, an increase of 32% compared to 2017.
