Through the partnership with the association of cattle sellers from Dourbali, the mobile telephone company, Airtel, is digitalizing the income of breeders by setting up the new Airtel Money “Bagara” service. The ceremony took place on September 30, 2020.

This is a project that was initiated in February 2020 during the visit to Chad of Airtel Africa Regional Director, Mr. Michael Foley. Indeed, during this visit, in the presence of the Director General of Airtel Tchad, Mr. Djibril Tobe, the Dourbali cattle breeders office, clearly expressed the need to have a money deposit and withdrawal service. at the same time simple, fast, reliable and above all less expensive to ensure the good safety of the trade of livestock and their daily activities.

This promise was kept by Airtel, this through a video message from Mr. Michael Foley very well received by the population of Dourbali. Thus, Airtel launched today, September 30, 2020, the AIRTEL MONEY-BAGARA service.

Airtel Money Bagara, accessible via a menu by typing * 436 #, is a service specially dedicated to cattle sellers in Chad, the objective being to digitize their income, and guarantee financial security. “They roam the weekly markets and are exposed to the risk of aggression,” explains Airtel Chad’s sales director, Mr. Moustapha BATRANE. He also indicates that with this service, breeders will be able to go everywhere without running the risk of loss.

For the Prefect of the Dourbali department “we need to make the breeders more aware so that they understand the interest of this service, and how to open an account to use Airtel Money Bagara in order to secure their income”, he said to urge Breeders.

This initiative was highly acclaimed by the population. The president of Dourbali cattle dealers has also expressed his gratitude to Airtel, which does not intend to stop there.

The service will soon be extended to all surrounding areas to allow exchanges between localities (Amtiman; Ati; Billy; Gama; Haraz; Loumia; Massaguet; Roro and N’Djamena). With the Airtel Money Bagara service, ranchers will now enjoy service fees and commissions at affordable prices during weekly markets.

It should be remembered that this ceremony preceded the official opening by the mayor of the locality of the first Airtel Money kiosk to support the breeders in the upcoming money transactions.
