AFD supported structure grants 38 million FCFA to 7 Chadian entrepreneurs

As part of the promotion of entrepreneurship in Chad, and support in starting a business, the Maison de la petite entreprise (MPE), supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), offered a loan of honor to 7 young entrepreneurs.

It was after an initial phase marked by awareness raising, training and support for project leaders that the Maison de la petite entreprise offered this funding. In fact, nearly 20,000 people have been made aware of entrepreneurship, more than 850 entrepreneurs supported and nearly 2,000 promoters have been trained.

Seven winners were thus selected by a panel of experts and were able to benefit from a total budget of 38 million CFA francs. This amount, without interest and without guarantee, is made available to entrepreneurs through the partnership with the Initiative France platform to help business creators. The funding must be repaid within five years and is intended to support business creators in starting their activities.

By granting these funds, the Maison de la petite entreprise considers development prospects such as: the establishment of a service voucher system facilitating the access of promoters to a diversified service offer and allowing the development of an ecosystem consulting firms; the deployment of activities outside the capital with the support of project leaders in the provinces; and a place of incubator of new ideas, intended to bring together the private, public and civil society sectors in the service of entrepreneurship.
