The Council of Ministers of the Union of Central African States (UEAC) held its 42nd ordinary session in Bangui, Central African Republic, on 11 October 2024. The bulk of this year’s session was devoted to examining and adopting the draft budget for the year 2025.
From 7 to 8 October 2024, the inter-State committee examined this draft budget at the CEMAC headquarters in Bangui, then transmitted the adopted budget to the UEAC Council of Ministers.

The budget set at 82 billion 981,074,871 FCFA was approved by the Council of Ministers for the year 2025 compared to the 2024 budget which was set at 90 billion 584,287,669 FCFA, a decrease of 7 billion 603,212,798 FCFA.
The council also appointed representatives of three countries to the CEMAC Court of Justice. The representative of Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville 🇨🇬 and the Central African Republic, who will be represented by magistrate Tiburce Mbilongo.
The President of the Council of Ministers of the UEAC, Pr Richard Filakota, Central African Minister of Economy, Planning and International Cooperation, encouraged the CEMAC Commission to continue implementing structural reforms. He also insisted on “discipline” in the management of public finances.
Finally, the Council of Ministers urged each country to contribute to the operation of the Community Integration Tax (TCI).
