During the period of 2010-2019, several countries made significant strides forward. Among them, Benin, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Gabon, Guinea, Mauritania, Mozambique, Senegal, and Seychelles all progressed by at least five positions in the continental ranking. These countries exhibited exceptional determination and commitment to enhancing their performance across various domains.

Benin showcased remarkable progress, solidifying its position in the ranking through bold economic and institutional reforms. Ethiopia also achieved significant advancements, particularly in industries, agriculture, and infrastructure, fueling economic growth and poverty reduction.

Eritrea, after years of conflict and isolation, implemented reforms aimed at boosting its economy and improving development indicators. Gabon adopted ambitious policies to diversify its economy and promote sustainable development, resulting in notable progress in the ranking.
