Provincial heads in Chad challenged to strengthen revenue collection

Chad’s Minister of Finance and Budget, Tahir Hamid Nguilin, made a report on provincial revenues. It was during the weekly meeting on public revenue, held at the Presidency of the Republic on July 21.

Chaired by the Minister of State, Minister Secretary to the Presidency, Kalzeubé Payimi Deubet, this weekly meeting took stock of public revenue in the provinces. The situation was reviewed in general and also on the receipts of the past week.

“Emphasis was placed on the issue of administrative revenue, but also on expenditure in the provinces. Regarding the collection of revenue by the ministries and entities in the provinces, they were asked to double their efforts and mobilize so that we can achieve our objectives ”, the Minister of Finance and Budget, Trahir Hamid Nguilin says.

During this meeting the Minister of State, Minister Secretary to the Presidency of the Republic, Kalzeubé Payimi Deubet, instructed the provincial authorities to preserve public revenues. ”The administrative authorities and those responsible for the state-owned companies were reminded to ensure that the revenues are collected and in the right conditions. But also, to preserve the public treasury… ”, indicated the Minister of Finance and Budget.

This meeting saw the participation of incoming ministers. The next meeting on state revenue will take place on July 28.
