Gabonese duo at the fore-front of Africa’s technological emancipation

Two Gabonese Tech enthusiasts aged 30, are leading the innititaive to provide affordable digital solutions to the African continent. Feissal Mombo and Selena Souah have created Reolution Air Ltd, with the aim of facilitating internet access on the continent.

Created in 2018, the duo finally obtained their operation licence from the Rwandan government last year. The licence we are told will enable them to carry out their activities till 2034.

Revolution Air is developing a technology solution capable of replacing a wired network and giving end-users downlink speeds around 1 GB / S. This translates through the cost of affordable fixed broadband Internet access and the emergence of multiple value-added services.

Through the “last mile connectivity” individuals, as well as Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in urban areas, can access quality internet service through wireless technology.

An equipment assembly plant will be set up in 2021 to enable SMART AFRICA member countries to have access to digital solutions. Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo will be the next point of call once Rwanda is established firmly.

Selena Souah and Feissal Mombo whose parents also worked in the Telecom sector in Gabon are experienced professionals. The former has a Master 2 in Enterprise Finance from the Higher Commerce Institute in Paris. The latter on his part has a Master of Science in International Banking and Finance from Lingnan University in Hong Kong and has worked in Airtel Gabon.

“Our goal is to be among the first operators to consolidate the Internet offer,
telephone and IP television in Africa with a Pan-African vision of development. ” they say.
