From August 15 to 19, Libreville will host the first Independence Trade Fair, an event organized by the Ministry of Commerce, SMEs-SMIs, through its General Directorate of Commerce (DGC). Placed under the theme “The promotion of local know-how and development of trade”, this initiative is part of a dynamic of promoting local products and strengthening exchanges between the country’s economic players.

The promotion of “Made in Gabon” is at the heart of the first Independence Trade Fair organized from August 15 to 19 by the Ministry of Commerce, SMEs and SMIs. This event, which will be held under the theme ” The promotion of local know-how and development of trade “, aims to popularize local production and promote Gabonese entrepreneurs.
The event is open to all economic operators in Gabon, regardless of sector, with the aim of promoting meetings and partnerships between large companies and SMEs. Over five days, visitors will be able to discover a wide range of products from various sectors, such as agri-food and construction, and enjoy exhibitions, sales, workshops led by special national and international guests, as well as cultural performances, including traditional dances and competitions. A cultural village will also be set up, offering an immersion in local traditions.
The aim of this fair is to stimulate the consumption of local products, reduce Gabon’s dependence on imports and boost the national economy. By highlighting Gabonese know-how, the government intends not only to support local producers, but also to create jobs and encourage sustainable economic growth. This event, which coincides with the celebration of the country’s independence, also symbolises Gabon’s desire to strengthen its economic autonomy by promoting its resources and know-how.
