During a press conference on Sunday morning, the Association of Young Economic operators presented a plan to support businesses after the covid-19 crisis.
The joint covid-19 crisis intervention and management plan takes into account several potential risks to which companies are exposed. More than 60,000 businesses have been closed since the onset of the disease, the association noted.
The losses are estimated at around 12.5 billion CFA francs in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors, said the national president of the Association of Young Economic Operators, Socene Djasra Tham.
Having noted the socio-economic effects of Covid-19, the plan takes into account the awareness and distribution of masks to the population. Young entrepreneurs provide 6 billion CFA francs to support economic establishments according to their categories. The National President of the Association of Young Economic Operators stressed that the plan is valued at 11 billion CFA francs. The association intends to seek an agreement with partners through government assistance.
