CENEEMA budgets 5 billion FCFA to boost Cameroon’s Agriculture from 2020-2022

The National Center for Studies and Experimentation in Agricultural Machinery (CENEEMA) has voted a budget of 5 billion FCFA, allocated for her projects in the biennial 2020-2022. This was during the 23rd session of the center’s Board of Directors in Yaounde.

For the Director General of CENEEMA, Andrée Caroline Mebande Bate, “the performance project adopted for 2020 is devoted to revitalizing the company’s activities. These include the re-establishment of the abandoned Garoua branch, the renovation of the workshop in Yaoundé so that it meets the quality and quantity expectations of agricultural entrepreneurs. We are also relaunching the production and support activities of partner private companies. “

More concretely it will be necessary to revitalize the company to allow it to be this engine of mechanization and the agricultural revolution desired by the government.

This session of the Board of Directors of the new managerial team, chaired by Abdou Namba, was held on an exceptional basis, due to the recent appointment of the managerial team of the structure (December 17, 2020). “Once the fiscal year has started, corporate budget adoption sessions can no longer take place. Given our recent appointment and the budget that had to be prepared, the Minister of Finance allowed us to hold this session on an exceptional basis, ” Andrée Caroline Bate explained the exceptional nature of the session.
