84 projects among which eleven priority projects will be financed by public and private creditors in the sub-region. This is what emerges from the Round Table, organized from November 16 to 17, by the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC).
CEMAC held a “round table” in Paris from November 16 to 17. She presented a regional economic program with 84 projects. The objective of the program is to boost growth in the sub-region by 2025. Among these projects, 11 were presented as “priority integrator” projects, for funding of four billion euros.

The focal points of these projects are, among others, modernizing the road networks linking several countries in the sub-region; develop the production of energy interconnection or develop optical fiber. During the discussions, it was revealed that the sub-region is indeed very late in terms of the speed of computer flows.
To this question, there should also be the construction of dry ports to relieve congestion in seaports and shorten delays in trade. The eleven projects were taken into consideration. They will be financed in the form of concessional loans, grants and public-private partnerships. 3.4 billion euros are expected, to add to the 600 million already acquired.
CEMAC, whose member countries are Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic and Chad, is considered the “least integrated” sub-region on the continent, with a rate of 17% against an average 40% for all of Africa.
