Originally scheduled from April 4 to 19, 2020, the Douala International Business and Trade Fair (FIAC), under the label “FIAC-PmExchange 2020”, was postponed because of the Covid-19. But it could finally be held from October 17 to November 1, 2020.
“A solution to the crisis is estimated by the experts towards the end of July. This allows us today to communicate to you new indicative dates for the holding of the FIAC-PmExchange 2020 from October 17 to November 1, ”read a briefing note sent by the organizers to companies having subscribed for participation in this event.
The Minister of Trade, the key government actor of this fair, had already announced on March 18, 2020 in a press release, the postponement of this business event. For this second edition, the employer group Entreprise du Cameroun (ECAM), organizer of PmExchange and the Inter Progress Foundation, organizer of the Business and Partnership Fair (PROMOTE) have decided to merge their energies so that the FIAC-PmExchange will experience a huge success.
Over 500 companies, including 150 local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are expected to attend. They will exhibit on 2.5 ha at the CAMTEL esplanade in Bepanda. The event will be marked by the coming of business communities alongside individual exhibitors.
On the menu, the exhibition-sale, and thematic pavilions to present to professionals and a wide audience not only the know-how in commercial activities, but also to promote and sell its products and services, in particular through a “Cash and Carry ”; à la carte lectures and debates on issues related to national, regional and international trade relating, among other things, to the regulation of international trade; capacity building and competitiveness of businesses for intra, interregional and international exchanges as well as community origin rules.
