The Director General of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (PME), Rudy Stéphen Mpiéré Ngouamba Ambila, visited certain commercial structures from November 17 to 18 in order to soak up their functioning, support and encourage them in this period of health crisis.
The initiative is part of the celebration of the World Entrepreneurship Week commemorated from November 16 to 22 each year, the objective being, among other things, to get closer to businesses in order to help them reinvent themselves. , reframe them to increase their productivity.
“By celebrating World Entrepreneurship Week, the Directorate General of SMEs wished to get closer to companies to encourage them especially in this difficult period because they have to reinvent themselves and need accompaniment and support”, indicated Rudy Stéphen Mpiéré Ngouamba Ambila.

Among the companies visited by the Director General of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME) are Glacy, Sorum Holding, Africa Shop, Pro Service, Restaurant Concept, Coopérative Agro 4 production. The visit made it possible to discover how these companies operate and to discuss the difficulties they face. To this end, several needs were identified, inter alia, capacity building; the lack of materials for some; lack of access to credit and difficulty in sourcing.
“It is therefore necessary and important for these companies to approach the supervisory authority for more reliable support and guidance. », Said Rudy Stéphen Mpiéré Ngouamba Ambila. And to continue: “We know very well that companies expect a lot from the state and it is in this perspective that we have decided to approach them and let them know that we are with them to support them”.
Regarding business support, he meant that there are several institutions that are there to help businesses renew themselves. These are the Small and Medium-Sized Business Development Agency, the Business Partnership Subcontracting Exchange, the Guarantee and Support Impulse Fund. Therefore, he invited companies to approach all these institutions.
Satisfied with the visit of the director of SMEs, the entrepreneurs approached believe that the support and accompaniment of the State will enable them to carry out their investment projects. “With our self-financing means, it is difficult for us to carry out investment projects. We are looking for easy access, support from the state in terms of guarantees in order to benefit from loans from banks for easier production. Also, training in new technologies, ”said Rusty Guembo, president of the Agro 4 Cooperative.
