FECAFOOT and MTN renew Partnership

On Thursday, Samuel Eto’o, President of FECAFOOT, and Mitwa N’GAMBI, General Manager of MTN Cameroon, signed a partnership contract renewed for two years. This collaboration aims to strengthen the development of professional football and sports infrastructure in Cameroon.

In a ceremony held at the headquarters of MTN Cameroon in Douala, the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and MTN marked a new stage in their cooperation. This union, which began more than two decades ago, was renewed for a period of two years. Samuel Eto’o and Mitwa N’GAMBI welcomed this continuity which reflects the common commitment of the two institutions to promote the king of sports in Cameroon.

A common vision for professionalism

The renewed partnership covers several strategic areas, including sponsorship of the MTN Elite One and MTN Elite Two Professional Championships, as well as the Cameroon Cup. Flagship events such as the Cameroon Ballon d’Or or the Champions Trophy will also benefit from this support. The main objective is to develop Cameroonian football towards a more professional and attractive model.

Innovative projects to boost football

This contract goes beyond financial support. It includes innovative programs such as: Youth Supporters: a project to engage the young generation of supporters; Loyalty Program: a loyalty system for football fans; Brand Ambassadors: an initiative involving opinion leaders in the promotion of competitions.

In addition, the project to build ten local stadiums, led by Samuel Eto’o, will also benefit from MTN’s support. These infrastructures, adapted to local realities, aim to offer quality spaces for young talents and community competitions.

MTN Elite One Championship Kicks Off

This announcement comes on the eve of the opening of the MTN Elite One Championship, scheduled for this Saturday in Melong. This first match symbolizes the beginning of a new era for Cameroonian football, supported by a clear vision and ambitious means. With this renewed partnership, FECAFOOT and MTN reaffirm their central role in promoting inclusive and forward-looking football.
