Congo represented at the International Meetings of Public-Private Partnerships

Led by Minister of State Gilbert Ondongo in charge of the Economy, the Congolese delegation is taking part in the thirteenth edition of the International Meetings of Public – Private Partnerships “(RIPPP) which will be held from September 30 to October 1.

This edition takes place in the context of the health crisis linked to covid-19. The organizers have adopted the hypothesis of limited face-to-face meetings, due to the closure of the borders of certain countries and regions, on the one hand, and virtual meetings, to allow the development of the E-RIPPP virtual platform, and the participation of delegations unable to make the trip, coming from countries at very high risk, on the other hand.

The Congolese delegation having opted for the limited face-to-face, it will have in sight of this participation the launch of the Infraweek and other meetings with the public decision makers, technical partners and investors, the preparation of the Symposium of Brazzaville, as it emerges. of the Partnership Agreement between CEPROD and the Club of Public – Private Partnerships (Club PPP) of France, established in 2019 and formalized in January 2020.

On the sidelines of the RIPPP meetings and confirmed commitments, between October 5 and 9, the delegation will have to modify its agenda and will meet, in France and Switzerland, partners wishing to accompany the Congo.

The Congolese Minister of State in charge of the Economy, in addition to the various working sessions planned, will have to intervene as president of the Economic and Financial Reform Program of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (PREF-CEMAC ).

These meetings have been, since 2007, a working and intermediation platform for the ecosystem of public decision-makers, operators and private investors, in France and internationally. Benefiting from the active participation, and face-to-face, of numerous public institutions and foreign delegations carrying PPP projects, they are a place of exchange and pooling of public, economic and territorial investment perspectives.

Each year, they attract numerous very high-level foreign delegations, mainly from Africa, who come to learn about the subject of PPPs and discuss international good practices.

Regarding the preparation of the “Symposium on public – private partnerships in the Republic of Congo”, scheduled for Brazzaville, in December 2020, CEPROD aims as issues, capitalization, overcoming, innovation of bilateral and decentralized economic cooperation existing history between the States and actors (public and private) of Congo and France.
