Cameroonians looking for service providers now have a veritable digital platform to source them. The web application QWICKSERVICES is a technology-driven platform developed by GAN Tech Consulting Ltd and available on the Play Store and App Store. It marks a significant milestone in its mission to transform access to everyday services across Cameroon and the wider CEMAC region.
QWICKSERVICE platform digitises the service economy by connecting individuals and businesses with verified service providers within a secure, mobile-first environment. Through QWICKSERVICES, users seamlessly discover services, make bookings, process payments, and track service delivery in real time.
Serving both informal and formal sectors, the platform brings together a wide range of service providers, including electricians, plumbers, hairdressers, cleaners, technicians, and logistics operators. By integrating features such as digital wallets, performance tracking, job bidding, and incentive-based systems. QWICKSERVICES enhances trust, efficiency, and financial inclusion.
The Press Conference
The press conference which held Monday April 20 in Douala enabled the founders to present the platform’s capabilities, its real-life applications, and its role in addressing key challenges within the service economy. It also brought to the fore QWICKSERVICES’ business model, operational approach, and its broader objective of building a scalable, inclusive, and technology-driven service ecosystem.
Addressing pressmen, the Director General of GAN Tech Consulting Services Kwa Clovis Dze revealed that, QWICKSERVICES is designed as a digital marketplace that connects individuals and businesses with verified service providers across multiple sectors, including home services, technical services, beauty and personal care, logistics, and professional services. Beyond being a marketplace, the platform serves as a digital infrastructure layer that empowers service providers with tools to manage bookings, receive payments, build reputation, and grow sustainable businesses.
“In a context where over 80% of economic activity operates within the informal sector, yet they are struggling, QWICKSERVICES seeks to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity by digitising service delivery, enhancing trust, and facilitating secure transactions through integrated mobile payment systems.” Dze highlighted.
Dr Roland Ako, the Board Chairman of GAN Tech Consulting, revealed that the application is well secured. “If you are having somebody from this app, you can register and show that they have been verified, checked and they will come to your work. We make sure that they have been trained, not just them, but everyone in the app. For example, if you say you are a cook, we make sure that you are telling the truth.”
He also revealed that there is a two-step verification and tracking measure during registration to guarantee that users are well secured. Talking about the fees, Dr Ako revealed that subscription is based either on a 15% commission per job contracted or a 4000FCFA paid fee per month, making the user experience enticing for all
One of the Board members, Fon Agwafo IV – the Paramount Fon of Mankon, also present at the press conference, told journalists that the QWICKSERVICE platform has come to resolve a pressing issue, which is unemployment. Drawing testimonies from how he bought a cow within 10 minutes, the Traditional ruler who blessed the vision bearers of the project further said, “People who have skills, people who have mental capacity to be able to solve some problems that have made a decision in the villages or in the town, but don’t know exactly how to find customers will get to work and get a source of livelihood. This will help to leverage the quality of the services that we render to our people.”
Also present was the Member of Parliament for Nkambe Central, Honourable Ngala Gerard, who urged the public to embrace this innovation. His support for this product is built on diaspora engagement and falls in line with the promotion of the Digital Economy inscribed in the 2030 National Development Strategy

” Consider this situation where engineers are not just thinking about themselves. A lot of people who want to empower themselves normally, want to empower themselves with riches, but these young engineers are working on 85% social responsibility to let Cameroonians be able to be employed and also to have a source of livelihood. This is an idea that has come to change the way we see service providers.” Menget emphasised.
The creation of the QWICKSERVICE app comes at a time when the African Continental Free Trade Area has come to facilitate the provision of goods and services. It is in line with the AfCFTA Protocol on Trade in Services, which aims to create a single, integrated African market for services, driving economic diversification, job creation, and increased intra-African trade. By liberalizing key sectors like transport, communication, financial services, tourism, and business services, it aims to boost service exports by over 34% by 2045.
